By accessing or using WatchfulNation.com ("the Platform"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, please do not use the Platform. WatchfulNation reserves the right to modify these terms at any time. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.

2. Purpose and Permitted Use

WatchfulNation is a public safety awareness platform that aggregates publicly available sex offender registry data from official government sources. The Platform is provided solely for:

• Personal safety awareness and community education
• Protecting children and families from known offenders
• Accessing prevention resources, reporting hotlines, and victim advocacy information

3. Prohibited Uses

You agree NOT to use this Platform to:

• Harass, threaten, intimidate, or harm any individual listed in the registry
• Engage in vigilante activity or take the law into your own hands
• Discriminate against any person in housing, employment, or services
• Scrape, copy, or redistribute registry data for commercial purposes
• Use the data for any purpose prohibited by federal or state law

Misuse of sex offender registry information may be a criminal offense under federal and state law.

4. Data Accuracy Disclaimer

WatchfulNation aggregates data from official government registries and third-party data providers. While we strive for accuracy, we make no warranties regarding the completeness, accuracy, or timeliness of the information. Registry data changes frequently. Always verify information with your local law enforcement agency or official state registry.

5. No Government Affiliation

WatchfulNation is an independent public safety platform. It is NOT affiliated with, endorsed by, or operated by any federal or state government agency, including but not limited to the Department of Justice, FBI, or any law enforcement agency. The "Special Agent" designation refers to the professional credentials of the founder acting in a personal capacity.

6. Limitation of Liability

WatchfulNation and its operators shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of or reliance on the Platform. Use of this Platform is at your own risk.

7. Subscription Services

Guardian Pro and Institutional subscription plans are billed through Stripe. Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled. Refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis. Contact us to request a refund within 7 days of billing.

8. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by the laws of the United States and the state in which WatchfulNation is incorporated, without regard to conflict of law provisions.
